Publication Ethics

Editorial Policies:

Horus University in Egypt harnesses the highest ethical standards from all authors, reviewers, and editors when dealing with the journal of ACED by all means.

Peer Review:

Horus University in Egypt launches its first journal ACED that is a peer-reviewed journal ACED applies double-blind reviewing, in which data of all authors and reviewers are anonymized.

Redundant or duplicate publication:

ONLY Original publications are considered. Duplicate or redundant publications are declined.

Submitted manuscripts must not be under consideration by any other journal.   If the editor was not aware of the violation and the article has been published, the duplicated article will be labelled as “duplicate”.

Retraction policy:

Horus University in Egypt abides by COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Disclaimers:

Horus University in Egypt requires that each author reveal any financial interests, question of bias, or sources of funding relevant to department(s) or organization(s), personal relationships, or direct academic competitors.

Patient consent forms:

A singed “Informed consent” from all patients mut be sent to the editor-in-chief.

Ethics committee approval:

A statement on ethics approval or IRRB must be provided in the body of the manuscript. 

Plagiarism:

ACED published by Horus University in Egypt, evaluates using iThenticate. Any similarity referring to works that are not the author’s and is not cited properly is considered plagiarism. Copying any content (greater than 7%) without effective paraphrasing of text is considered plagiarism. Horus University in Egypt abides by COPE Retraction Guidelines in this regard.
